PenPal Schools is designed to work in schools that might have limited WiFi or bandwidth capabilities, so the technical requirements are minimal. Lessons can be completed at any time during the week and are asynchronous and text-based to accommodate low-speed and unstable connections.
Students and teacher access PenPal Schools through a web browser. We recommend using Chrome.
The videos in each lesson are hosted on YouTube and Vimeo, so you’ll want to make sure that your students are able to view these sites. Schools that block these sites for students often provide access for teachers, who can show the videos to the class.
